The Saskatoon Police Cultural Resource Unit, in partnership with The Running Room, the City of Saskatoon Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Committee and Saskatoon's five settlement agencies, is proud to be hosting the 7th Annual Race Against Racism on September 16, 2017 in Victoria Park. This 2.5, 5, 10 km, and Half Marathon Run/Walk/Stroller Roll fundraising and awareness event will start at 9am with all distances starting at the same time.
Registration can be completed at the Running Room's website at www.runningroom.com.
Runners 17 and under are free, but are asked to register through their school or by contacting Sgt. Keith Salzl at 306-657-8625.
A cultural expo will be set up at the finish line for all to enjoy, whether you are a participant or a spectator. Participants are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to help "Cram the Cruiser" for the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre.
The goal of this race is to provide a positive environment for people of all ages and diverse backgrounds to gather and promote an active, healthy lifestyle while encouraging positive police community relations. We hope to target both the competitive runners and those who want to come and enjoy a family friendly event.
