The Saskatoon Police Service Personal Violence Section is investigating an assault in which a campus safety officer suffered knife wounds while working on the grounds of the University of Saskatchewan.
The safety officer was slashed with a knife when she approached two suspicious males just before 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 9th, 2007. The first suspect is described as an aboriginal male, 19-25 years of age, 5'11" in height, with a thin build and shaggy hair. He was wearing a red hat, dark blue Nike sweatshirt, tan gloves and carried a backpack. The second suspect is described as being at least 25 years of age, 6'1" in height with a large build, wearing a dark long sleeved shirt and tan gloves.
The officer is recovering from her wounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
