Armed Robbery

10:39 pm October 15, 2007 police responded to a convenience store robbery in the 2600 block of Broadway Ave. A lone male had entered the store with a knife to obtain cigarettes and cash.

A short time later a vehicle was reported stolen from the area.

At 11:15 pm the stolen vehicle was located coming off the freeway into the downtown area. A short pursuit ensued with the perpetrators fleeing the police by using the railway tracks. They ran from the vehicle, on the tracks, at Ave F and 22nd St. The two suspects were arrested by police after a short foot chase.

One male will appear in court on the 16th of October charged with Armed Robbery, Wearing a Mask during the Commission of an Offense and Possession of the stolen motor vehicle, the other male will appear on Possession of the stolen motor vehicle.
