Construction Site Thefts

The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating a number of thefts from construction sites in the Hampton Village area.
Due to accessibility, low lighting, and sparse populations, thefts from new home construction sites are not uncommon. However, there have been an unusually high number of thefts over the past four weeks in the area.
Suspects have removed windows, doors, drywall, tools, garage doors, appliances, and other unsecured building materials from construction sites. In most cases the suspect or suspects are attending the construction sites overnight after materials have been delivered. Generally, the materials are not locked up and are stolen before they can be installed the following day.
The Saskatoon Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in this matter. Anyone with information relating to these thefts is asked to call 975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
