Police Report A Busy 24 Hours

The Saskatoon Police Service was kept busy over the last 24 hours, arresting 5 people on numerous charges.

On October 21st at approximately 4:40hrs, Saskatoon Police received a complaint of an intoxicated male sitting inside a vehicle in a parking lot in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue North. The vehicle proceeded to exit onto 25th street and was observed by another police car. Police conducted a vehicle stop at 25th street and 6th Avenue where a 22 year old British Columbia female was arrested for impaired driving and drive while over .08. Another occupant of the vehicle, a 28 year old Edmonton man, was also arrested at the scene. The female did appear in court this morning.

On October 21st close to 9:00 pm officers observed a vehicle driving erratically at Avenue N and 19th street. When police attempted to stop the vehicle, a pursuit ensued but was called off shortly afterward. Shortly afterward, police received a complaint of a vehicle hitting a garage int he 400 block of Avenue J South. Canine was on scene and after a short foot pursuit, two male youths were arrested were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property under $5000.00. Both have been released and are expected to appear in court on November 22nd, court room #2 at 9:30 am.

At 6:30 am on October 22nd, police conducted a routine traffic stop in the 100 block of Avenue T North. A 21 year old Saskatoon female was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime following a search of the vehicle. Police recovered $2,220.00 cash, 12.3 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, open alcohol, shot gun shells and 3 knives. The female's court date is not known at this time.
