Between 6:00 PM November 18 and 5:00 AM November 19 the Saskatoon Police Service responded to 110 calls for service. A total of 20 individuals were arrested, 5 for intoxication, 2 for impaired driving charges, while the remaining arrests consisted of other criminal code charges and warrants to arrest. Three 24 hour suspensions were issued to other drivers.
One of the impaired drivers was involved in an accident at Cumberland Avenue and 3rd Street East. The impaired driver failed to stop for the stop sign at this intersection and collided with a vehicle on Cumberland Avenue. The driver and the passenger of the vehicle traveling on Cumberland were taken to the hospital and later released.
Saskatoon Police are advising motorists to drive with extreme caution due to the slippery road conditions present in the city.
