The Saskatoon Police have made an arrest in regard to the Ralph Henschel homicide.
A 31 year old male was arrested today at 6:00 PM and charged with 1st degree murder. He will be appearing before a Justice of the Peace, Saturday, to be remanded to Provincial Court , Room #1 at 10:00 AM, Dec. 24, 2007. The accused has been in custody for several months serving time on an unrelated matter.
As previously reported, on December 20th, 2005, at 11:05 PM, Saskatoon Police discovered a deceased male inside a residence in the 800 block 32nd street west. The deceased was identified as Ralph Edward Henschel age 47 years. Family members were concerned Mr. Henschel had not been heard from for several days and requested that the police check on his well being. Major Crime and Forensic Identification officers were notified and have been involved in the investigation since that date.
Mr. Henschel was murdered on or about December 1, 2005. He died from stab wounds he received at that time.
