Saskatoon Graffiti Officer Featured In U.S. Training

Saskatoon Graffiti Officer Lee Jones is sharing his knowledge of graffiti related issues with police officers from the United States and around the world.

Detective Constable Jones has recently returned from a workshop in St. Louis, Missouri where he was the only Canadian invited to speak to representatives from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education or D.A.R.E. D.A.R.E. is a program used worldwide, aimed at helping school aged children make positive choices. The program is currently in the process of expanding to include information on alternatives to graffiti for kids.

The Saskatoon Police Service Anti Graffiti Unit was formed in 2006, becoming only the second of it's kind in Canada. Since then Det. Cst. Jones has been active in sharing his expertise with other services in Canada and the U.S.
