Multi-Vehicle Collision

Just after 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, Saskatoon Police members attended the scene of a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Marquis Drive and Idylwyld Drive North. MD Ambulance attended, however it was determined no one from the scene required transportation.

The collision occurred when a vehicle traveling north on Idylwyld Drive slowed to avoid colliding with a vehicle traveling south in the north bound lane. Two vehicles were following the north bound vehicle and when it slowed, each collided with the rear of the vehicle in front.

A 38 year old male from Ontario has been charged for driving the wrong way on a one way street under the Traffic Safety Act, and additional charges of following too close may be forthcoming against two of the other drivers. The matter is still under investigation.
