Just prior to 6:30 PM on Sunday May 25, 2008 Saskatoon Police responded to a report that indicated three individuals in a motor vehicle had been observed behaving suspiciously with what witnesses described as firearms. The individuals were later seen entering a residence in the 2300 block of St. Andrews Avenue with the weapons.
As a precautionary measure, the area was immediately cordoned off, and shortly thereafter contact was made with the individuals in the residence. All three exited voluntarily and without incident.
Once interviewed, the two males aged 19 and 20 and the 16 year old female explained that both weapons were pellet guns. A subsequent search of the residence confirmed that one rifle and one hand held pellet gun were the ones in possession of the individuals at the time of the initial complaint.
All three were released at the scene. No decision has been reached in regards to possible charges at this time.
