Saskatoon Police, Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services and MD Ambulance attended to the Broadway Bridge on June 2, 2008 in response to calls by bystanders of a male who had gone over the edge.
Police received the call at 11:12 a.m. and the first patrol car arrived at 11:14 a.m. A 41 year old male had been observed leaning over the edge of the pedestrian barrier, then go over the edge. The male fell to the ground where first responders attempted to resusitate him.
The male was transported to Royal University Hospital by MD Ambulance where he passed away.
Saskatoon Police are still attempting to contact his next of kin.
