The Peace Keepers Pedaling for Aboriginals with Diabetes team has reached Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
The group, including six members of the Saskatoon Police Service and FSIN Vice Chief Guy Lonechild arrived at noon eastern time. This year's portion of the trek began on May 22nd in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Since then the group has biked more than 1700 kms, at times in rain and snow, in an effort to educate and raise awareness about diabetes in the Aboriginal community.
The group will return home to Saskatoon tomorrow.
