Five people were charged following a traffic stop conducted by Saskatoon Police patrol members on June 14th, 2008.
At approximately 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, patrol members stopped a vehicle on Taylor street at Argyle Avenue. What started as an impaired driving investigation lead to the discovery of 145 ecstasy pills, approximately 150 grams of psilocybin, a small amount of cannabis marijuana and lysergic acid diethylamide, and over $600.00 cash.
Three adults and two young offenders were charged, with the charges totaling three counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug or Substance, 10 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and 5 counts of Possession of Proceeds of Crime.
The young offenders, one from Moose Jaw and one from Saskatoon were released from Police custody over the weekend with later court dates, and the three adults appeared in Provincial Court on June 16th, at 9:00 a.m. in court room #1.
