Saskatoon Fire And Protective Services Assist Saskatoon Police Service In Arrest

Saskatoon Police responded to a Break and Enter in progress at 1701 20th Street West at 1:54 AM. June 22, 2008. A witness informed police that a suspect was seen climbing out of a vacant apartment onto the roof of the apartment building.

Police were unable to gain safe access to the roof or convince the suspect to come off the roof. Police summoned Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services to attend in order to gain safe access onto the roof.

Upon seeing the arrival of Engine Ladder 32, the suspect peacefully left the roof and was arrested without incident.

A twenty one year old male is charged with Breaching a Recognizance times three and will be appearing in Court on June 23.
