A 20 year old Saskatoon male and a 17 year old Saskatoon male are in custody following an armed robbery that took place in the 200 Block of Avenue S south this morning at approximately 7:20 a.m.
The two suspects approached a male who was entering a building, demanded money from him, then shot him with a BB gun. Police arrived to the scene almost immediately and began a canine track. The track resulted in the arrest of the two accused a short time later at Avenue T and 22nd street, as well as the recovery of the weapon.
The adult and youth are facing charges of Robbery with Intent to Steal, Possession of a Weapon, Wear Disguise with Intent to commit an offense, Assault with a Weapon, and Assault Causing Bodily Harm. The Youth is also facing one count of Breach of Undertaking and one count on Breach of Probation.
The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition with non life threatening injuries.
The two accused will appear before a Justice of the Peace this evening, January 15th, 2008.
