A 27 year old Saskatoon man is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court today following a police response to a bar at 33rd Street and Idylwyld Drive on the weekend.
Police received a call from the business just before 11:00 p.m. on July 31st. A male had been spotted inside with what appeared to be a handgun in his waistband. When patrol officers arrived the man attempted to escape through the business but was brought into custody without incident. The weapon was found to be a replica BB gun. He is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine), Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime ($2,750 cash), Breach of a Community Sentence Order, and Obstructing a Police Officer.
In a second incident, Police were called to a report of a possible break and enter to a home in the 700 block of Avenue E North just before 1:00 p.m. on August 4th. When they arrived patrol officers discovered a 46 year old man outside the residence. They searched a vehicle and discovered cocaine, crack cocaine and more than $20,000 in cash. He is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of the Proceeds of Crime and Breach of Undertaking.
A 48 year old man was found inside the residence and is facing charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (crack cocaine).
Both men are scheduled to appear in Provincial Court today. (2008-77451, 2008-79045)
