Police Respond To Two Seperate Motor Vehicle Collisions

At approx. 7:30 pm Saskatoon Police responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and a parked car in the 3400 block of Diefenbaker Drive.

A 19yr old male driver was southbound on Diefenbaker Drive when he lost control of the motorcycle, crossed the center median, and hit a parked vehicle. The driver was transported to Royal University Hospital by MD Ambulance with a broken collar bone.

He has been charged whith Driving While Prohibited under the Criminal Code and Driving at a speed that is greater than reasonable and safe under the Traffic Safety Act.

The driver will appear in court at a later date and remains in hospital.

Then just before 10 pm Saskatoon Police responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian at 20th Street and Avenue B. A 52 yr old male driver was East bound on 20th St. turing right to proceed Southbound on Ave B when he struck a female pedestrian in the crosswalk.

Injuries are non life threatening and the female pedestrian was transported to hospital.

Alcohol was a factor in the collision and it remains under investigation.
