Three people were sent to hospital following a collision between an Access Transit bus and a car this afternoon.
Police received a call just before 2:00 p.m. that the bus and car had collided at the intersection of Central Avenue and 108th Street. The bus had been traveling southbound on Central Avenue and was attempting to make a left-hand turn. The car was traveling north-bound on Central Avenue when it struck the passenger side of the bus. Two female passengers in the bus and the driver of the car suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital by MD Ambulance.
The driver of the car has been charged with failure to hold a valid operators license. The driver of the bus has been charged with failure to yield to an approaching vehicle. Collision analysts are at the scene and traffic will be restricted until approximately 4:30 p.m. today.
