The Saskatoon Police Service is reminding motorists to reduce their speed in and around schools.
For the month of September Police are focusing on enforcement of speed limits in school zones. Motorists are required to reduce their speed to 30 kms/hr. So far this month 445 tickets have been handed out to motorists who are traveling too fast through school zones.
Operation Street Sweep has wrapped up for the fall. A total of 586 vehicles have been inspected. 111 tickets for offences under the Traffic Safety Act and a total of 1142 warnings for vehicle and trailer equipment and insecure loads were given out.
