The Saskatoon Police Service attended to a reported stabbing at approximately 06:40 this morning in the 1100 block of Avenue B North. Occupants of two vehicles were reportedly involved in an altercation after one vehicle was cut off by the other while traveling eastbound on 33rd Street. The driver of one vehicle followed the second vehicle into the 1100 block of Avenue B North. The male driver of the vehicle which had been supposedly cut off, exited his vehicle and was approached by three to five males from the other vehicle. A 23 year old male was assaulted by this group of males.
This individual received multiple stab wounds to the back and right leg. He was also the victim of blunt force trauma to the head, and possibly a broken wrist. It is believed that he was assaulted with a tire iron. The victim was transported to Royal University Hospital by MD Ambulance, where he is being treated for non life threatening injuries.Investigation into this incident continues.
