Saskatoon Police are asking for the publics help in identifying the suspect in a sexual assault in the City.
At approximately 11:00 p.m. on September 23, 2008 an 18 year old woman was walking southbound on Avenue P when she was approached by a male who offered her a cigarette, began walking with her and struck up a conversation. In the 700 block of Avenue M South he grabbed her around the neck and pulled her into a backyard. He began to sexually assault her and threaten her with a knife. The victim escaped with minor physical injuries.
The suspect is described as of First Nations ancestry, 25 - 27 years old, tall and thin, with dark hair. He was wearing a red, black and white checkered hoodie, a white ball cap, and a silver rodeo style belt buckle.
Investigators have developed a composite drawing of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to call 975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
