Construction/Compound Thefts

In an effort to target thefts from new home construction sites members of the Saskatoon Police Service will be conducting ongoing surveillance.

As part of the operation a 29 year old Saskatoon male was arrested and charged with theft of lumber from a construction site in the 100 block of Assaly Street on October 12, 2008. On October 13th a 40 year old Saskatoon male was arrested and charged with Theft Under $5000 and two counts of Breach of Recognizance in the 200 block of Robertson Cove (2008-106264).

In another incident Police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a business compound in the 2900 block of Millar Avenue at approximately 3:00 a.m. October 14th. A K-9 track was able to locate two suspects in an adjoining compound a short time later. They were attempting to steal copper wire. Two males, ages 36 and 37 were arrested and charged with Break and Enter Theft and Breach of Probation. They will be appearing in Provincial Court October 14th, 2008. (2008-106293)
