Wilful Damage And Possession Of Weapon Dangerous To Public Peace

Saskatoon Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating the occupants of vehicle which sustained wilful damage at approximately 3 p.m. October 28 at Taylor Street and Boychuk Drive.

A police officer patrolling the area was flagged over by a witness who pointed out a blue Ford F150 truck travelling in the opposite direction. The witness had observed the driver of the truck get out of his vehicle at the above noted intersection and, with a baseball bat, smash out the window of a green Intrepid which was also at that intersection.

The officer was able to catch up to and stop the truck. The green Intrepid and its occupants could not be located.

At present, the 22 year old male driver of the truck has been charged with carrying a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and possession of a prohibited weapon (a knife). He will be appearing in court on these charges on the morning of Oct 29. The investigation is ongoing.
