At approximately 1:23 a.m. October 29, 2008, Saskatoon Police were called to the 1700 block of 22nd Street West in regards to a stabbing.
A group of five people became involved in an altercation on the street which resulted in a 25 year old female being stabbed four times in the midsection and thigh areas. In addition, a 23 year old female was stabbed once in the stomach. Both victims were transported to Royal University Hospital by MD Ambulance and are reported to be in stable condition.
The exact cause of the altercation is unknown.
Information provided by a witness was instrumental in officers arresting three suspects and recovering two knives involved in the incident.
A 15 year old male has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and breach of probation x 3.
A 19 year old female has been charged with two counts of party to the offence of aggravated assault, obstruction, breach of undertaking x 3, breach of conditional sentence.
An 18 year old female has been charged with two counts of party to the offence of aggravated assault and breach of probation.
All those charged will appear in court in the afternoon of October 29.
