A 43 year old Saskatoon man was arrested January 11th following an investigation of theft from a business in the 100 Block of Primrose Drive.
Police were called to a business shortly after the male suspect ran out with money he had grabbed. Witnesses obtained the license plate of the vehicle believed to be involved, and after a quick investigation police were able to track the suspect down at his residence and make an arrest. The male suspect matched the description of the person responsible for till thefts that have occurred across this city since September 2007. The accused has now been charged with additional thefts involving four other businesses. During each theft, the accused managed to take between $500.00 to $3,000.00 cash.
The Saskatoon man is now facing 5 counts of Theft Under $5000.00 and 5 counts of Breach of Probation. He was released on an Appearance Notice and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on Tuesday February 12th, 2008 in court room #1at 9:00 a.m.
