Off Duty Police Officer & Neighbors Assist In Apprehending Suspect In Break & Enter

At approximately 8 p.m. November 13, Saskatoon Police attended a call of a break & enter in progress to a house in the 1200 block of Avenue K North.

An off duty police officer and his wife who live in the area heard suspicious noises along with an audible alarm and they called police. With assistance from another neighbor who had also been alerted by the noise, a suspect was apprehended in the back alley.

The on-duty officers who arrived at the scene conducted further investigation which resulted in several charges being laid.

A 45 year old man has been charged with break & enter, mischief by wilful damage under $5,000, theft under $5,000, obstruction of a peace officer, and breach of undertaking.
