A Saskatoon Police Service Inspector will now be subject to Saskatoon Police Service internal administrative review in accordance with The Police Act, 1990.
Inspector Allan Stickney was found guilty in Provincial Court, Friday, November 21, 2008, of Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired. The charge stemmed from an incident which occurred on July 28, 2007 while the Inspector was off duty.
The Saskatoon Police Service launched a criminal investigation into the incident and the results were sent to the Prosecutions Branch of Saskatchewan Justice for its recommendation as to whether any criminal charges should be laid.
Saskatoon Police Chief Clive Weighill will reserve any statement on this issue pending the outcome of the internal review.
