Air Support Unit Makes Arrest

The Saskatoon Police report a steady night with several incidents;

10:40 pm a pursuit occurred in the downtown east side area of the city. It was about to be called off by ground vehicles when the Air Support Unit made it into position to observe the vehicle. The pursuit lasted approximately 3 minutes with the operator driving on the wrong side of the road and speeds of 75 KPH. A 44 year old man will appear in court on Impaired Driving, Drive while Disqualified, Dangerous Driving and Fail to Stop for Police.

12:30 am police responded to an Armed Robbery of a fast food restaurant in the 100 block of Confederation Drive. A lone male masked with a bandanna and armed with a knife escaped with money. No one was injured.

12:32 a male was going to his vehicle in the 1400 block of 22nd St W. He surprised two young females breaking into his vehicle. They turned around towards him and one female had a gun in her hand. They both ran in different directions. They where not located by police.

3:00 am a south bound van on Idywyld Drive, on the north side of the highway 16 exit, hit a male on a bicycle sending him into the ditch. M.D. Ambulance attended taking the male to hospital with injuries believed to be none life threatening.
