Quick Thinking Avoids Potential Injury To Pedestrians

The quick thinking and actions of a 17 year old male avoided potential injury to some pedestrians today.

Just after 2:00 p.m. Saskatoon Police were called to a single vehicle accident in the parking lot of a business in the 800 block of Circle Drive East. The 55 year old male driver had a seizure and lost control of the vehicle. The man's 17 year old son, who was a passenger in the vehicle, quickly grabbed the steering wheel and turned the vehicle towards the building in order to avoid hitting pedestrians. Witnesses credit the young man's actions for saving the pedestrians from injury.

The driver of the vehicle sustained what appeared to be minor injuries in the accident, in addition to the seizure, and was transported to City Hospital by MD Ambulance where he remains under observation.
