At approximately 3:00 p.m. today three people were arrested after a Saskatoon Police officer ran the licence plate of an SUV and learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of British Columbia.
The officer had observed the vehicle in the area of Lorne Avenue and Ruth Street. When it pulled into the parking lot of a convenience store he approached the occupants and, with assistance from other officers, placed all three people under arrest.
A 31 year old female has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and has also been arrested on an outstanding warrant for breach of probation.
A 29 year old male has been arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court and theft under $5,000.
A 27 year old male is presently being detained pending confirmation of a warrant from British Columbia for possession of a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking.
