A 36 year old Saskatoon man is in custody following an armed robbery and quick apprehension by Saskatoon Police this morning.
Police received a call just after 6:30 this morning that a gas station in the 200 block of Avenue B North had been robbed by a male threatening he had a knife. The male fled on foot but was followed by an alert taxi driver. The Saskatoon Police Service Canine Unit was called to the scene and the dog was able to track the male in the area of 22nd Street and Avenue H, where officers made the arrest.
No one was injured during the incident.
The male is charged with Robbery and Breach of Probation and is expected to appear in Provincial Court later today.
