Members of the Saskatoon Police Service are visiting small, east side businesses this week in hopes of preventing additional armed robberies from occurring.
Between January 5th and February 22nd there have been between 12 and 13 armed robberies, the majority of which occurred on the east side. Investigators believe all of the incidents are connected. In each robbery the suspects are disguised and carry a bar or a pipe as a weapon.
A number of Investigators are working on solving the Armed Robberies, however the SPS is also promoting awareness and prevention among business owners and managers who may be victimized.
