Three Saskatoon males and one female will be appearing in Provincial Court this morning charged with drug related offences following a traffic stop and the execution of search warrants at two homes in the city.
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24th patrol members with the Saskatoon Police Service stopped a vehicle in the area of Avenue P and 20th Street West. Inside they found cash, cocaine, and marijuana. A 26 year old male was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine), and two counts of Possession of the Proceeds of Crime. (2009-25239)
As a result of the traffic stop members of the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Unit and the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit executed search warrants at a residence in the 3700 block of John A McDonald Road and at a residence in the 100 block of Clancy Drive.
Following the searches a 52 year old male was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000, a 28 year old male was charged with possession of marijuana, and a 24 year old female was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000.
In all, more than two pounds of cocaine, and more than $10,000 was seized. Officers continue to investigate as a large amount of stolen property was also found.
