Two Saskatoon men have been charged as part of Project Salvo, the largest ever coordinated investigation into Internet child sexual abuse in the country.
As a Project Salvo member agency, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed search warrants at two separate residences, one on March 19th, the other March 24th. Computers seized during those searches contained images of child abuse.
28 year old Erick Fernandez is charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography and is scheduled to be back in Provincial Court on March 30th, 2009.
25 year old Eran Michael Pinsky is charged with one count of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Making Child Pornography Available to Others. He is scheduled to return to court April 29th, 2009. (2009-18876)
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is an integrated effort between the Saskatoon, Regina, and Prince Albert Police Services, along with the RCMP.
