Saskatoon Police have requested a warrant for a 26 year old man following a stabbing that occurred late yesterday afternoon.
Just before 4:30 p.m. police received two calls to a home in the 1800 block of 20th Street West where an altercation between two people had turned into a stabbing. A 25 year old woman suffered a non-life threatening stab wound, escaped the home, and was taken to hospital by a passing motorist. A second call to Police reported an assault with a shovel, on a male. When officers arrived they found that witnesses to the stabbing intervened and may have been hitting the suspect with the shovel. The suspect fled before Police arrived on scene.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Saskatoon Police Service at 975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
