Male Injured During Attempted Robbery

The Saskatoon Police Service attended an Attempted Robbery at approximately 12:15 A.M today in the 400 block of 33rd Street West.

A 51 year old male was approached outside of a bank machine, and a demand was made for cash. The victim was slashed in the neck with a sharp edged weapon, and was able to run from his assailant. The victim was transported to Royal University Hospital by MD Ambulance with serious injuries.

The suspect is described as an aboriginal male 30 to 35 years old, 5' 9", 150 to 160 pounds, with short dark hair and a mustache, wearing a white tee shirt and jeans or dark pants.
