Saskatoon Police received a 9-1-1 call at 2:47 AM on Monday June 29, 2009 reporting that a teenage male had been stabbed in the upper body.
A group of multiple suspects confronted the victim and two others as they were walking near the river, east of the 1000 block of Avenue H South, and in the process the 18 year old male received a single wound to his chest.
After the assault the victims made their way to a residence and Police and MD Ambulance were called. The victim was taken to Royal University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made, and the matter is still under investigation.
