Members of the Saskatoon Police Service along with members from RCMP, Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services, and MD Ambulance will give the gift of life and continue a friendly competition as part of the 2009 Blood Donor Challenge.
The “Sirens For Life” campaign will kick-off Monday, July 7th at 9:00 a.m. at the Canadian Blood Services clinic, 325-20th Street East. This is the fifth and tie breaking year for the campaign in which members of Saskatoon emergency services compete against their counterparts in Regina.
Each day members of Police, Fire and EMS see the need for blood donations. The challenge allows them a chance to help in another way, by donating blood. Members’ families, friends and the public are also invited to donate as part of the “Sirens For Life” challenge.
