Arrest Made In 2006 Murder / Attempted Murder

On July 15, 2006 at about 01:15 AM, Saskatoon Police were called to a residence in the 800 block, 4th Ave. North regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, Police discovered that 2 persons, in the home, had been shot. Susan Reinhardt age 40 years and a 43 year old male were transported to hospital. Reinhardt was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The male survived the attack after being treated in hospital for his injuries. Three children were sleeping in the residence at the time and were not injured.

Today (Jan.8, 2010)after an extensive investigation by Saskatoon Police Major Crime Detectives, an arrest was made in North Battleford. With the assistance of the RCMP, a 45 year old male was arrested at 10:30 AM and will be facing charges of 1st degree murder and attempted murder. The suspect will be taken before a Justice of the Peace in North Battleford and is expected to be remanded to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.
