A man and two women are in custody following the armed robbery of a convenience store last night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., February 25, 2016, Police received a report that the business had been robbed. The employee told officers that a male with a knife had entered the store and demanded cash before fleeing in a car. Following preliminary investigation the suspect vehicle, a black Mazda, was located at the intersection of Lorne Avenue and Ruth Street. Three people were taken into custody at the scene. The employee did not suffer physical injury during the incident.
The 29 year old male accused is facing charges of armed robbery, possession of a weapon, and breach of probation (x2). The two women, ages 26 and 28, are both facing charges of being party to the offence of robbery.
All three are expected to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on February 25, 2016.
