Two Arrested - Stolen Auto - Campus Drive

A 30 year old man and a 32 year old woman, both from Saskatoon are facing charges following reports of a suspicious vehicle on the ground of the University of Saskatchewan.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., March 16, 2016, several reports were made to University security personnel regarding a Volkswagen Passat being driven on Campus Drive. Witnesses reported seeing people inside the vehicle wearing masks. A short time later responding officers located the vehicle, which had been reported stolen, parked near Royal University Hospital. An SPS Canine team located two suspects nearby as they attempted to flee the vehicle.

The 30 year old male was found to be in possession of the stolen vehicle keys, a glass pipe, methamphetamine, and a folding knife.

Both suspects are charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000. The man is also facing charges of Possession of a Weapon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Breach of Undertaking, and Possession of Methamphetamine. The man was also wanted on three outstanding criminal code warrants at the time of his arrest.
