Three women aged 18, and two 19 year olds are facing a number of charges after they evaded police before striking a curb and disabling their vehicle.
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on August 27, 2016 officers on patrol noticed a car that matched the description of a vehicle that had been driving erratically earlier in the morning. The officers attempted a traffic stop however the female driver refused to stop and evade the officers. The suspects traveled southbound on Ave I before striking the curb causing the front tires to deflate, disabling the vehicle. The occupants had also thrown a firearm out of the vehicle while evading police. The firearm was recovered on the side of the road.
Three females were arrested for evading police, firearm offenses, and breach of undertakings.
