A 43-year-old woman is facing charges following a drug and weapons investigation by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (SIDEST).
Police began an investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine and possession of weapons. With the assistance of the Guns and Gangs Unit and the Tactical Support Unit, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 200 block of Lochrie Crescent at approximately 11:00 p.m., August 31, 2016. Police located and seized a handgun, bear spray, 2.8 grams of marihuana, 10.5 grams of methamphetamine packaged for distribution and over $7200 in cash.
Three persons were arrested inside the residence. Two were later released without charges.
A 43-year-old woman has been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Marihuana, Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000, and Possession of Dangerous Weapon (x2). She is expected to appear in Provincial Court on September 1, 2016. (Court Info #: 33307102, 33307103).
