The Saskatoon Police Service would like to thank all those who participated in the 6th annual Race Against Racism held last weekend.
Approximately 400 people took part in the event, many of them enjoying the new half marathon and 10 km choices. Families were out to enjoy the day as well, which included entertainment by Saskatchewan Express, the Concordia Alpenrose Junior Dance Troupe, the Chinese Folk Dance Club, the Syrian Heritage Men's Dance Group, the Westmount School Metis Jigging Group, and belly dancers.
The event is organized in partnership with the SPS Cultural Resource Unit, the City of Saskatoon's Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Committee with proceeds going to the Children's Hospital Foundation.
Participants were also asked to bring a non-perishable food item to "Cram the Cruiser" for the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre.
