Downtown Street Robbery 2nd Avenue And 23rd Street

At approximately 11:50 am on September 25, 2016 the Saskatoon Police Service received a report that a woman had been robbed near the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and 23rd Street East. The suspect approached the victim who was walking and asked to see her phone. When the victim refused, the suspect threatened to stab her if she did not comply. No weapon was shown and the suspect fled with the phone. The suspect is described as being female, Indigenous in appearance, approximately 30 years of age, 5 feet, five inches tall with a slim build, brown shoulder length hair which was parted in the middle. At the time of the robbery she was wearing a black or grey cardigan sweater and blue jeans.
