Approximately 12:45pm on Thursday 17 November 2016, Saskatoon Police Service, School Resource Officers attended to a High School in the 100 block of Bowlt Crescent on the report of an assault on a student, that also involved the use of a firearm.
Police determined that two males aged 13 and 15, who were not students at that High School, did enter it and assaulted a 15 year student then shot him in the leg with a BB gun before fleeing the scene.
Police have identified the suspects and are attempting to locate them. Once arrested and in police custody the 13 year old suspect will be facing an assault charge along with 5 weapon related offenses along with breaches of his court ordered release conditions. The 15 year old suspect will be facing an assault charge along with 5 weapon related offenses.
The High School has taken steps to inform all parents of their students of this occurrence.
