Police are looking for a female suspect in connection with an attempted street robbery that took place at about 1:00 AM Tuesday morning. A 27 year old woman was walking in the 300 block of 3rd Ave. N when she was approached by another woman on a bicycle. The cyclist produced a machete and attempted to cut the strap on the victim's purse. In the ensuing struggle the victim was slashed. Her injuries are considered non- life threatening and she made her own way to hospital where she was treated and released.
The suspect is described as an indigenous female, mid 20's wearing dark clothing riding a light-colorerd BMX style bike. She was last seen riding northbound on 3rd Ave.
