A 20 year old Saskatoon man is facing a number of charges following break ins to two garages overnight.
At approximately 4:00 a.m., December 30, 2016, Police were called to the 1600 block of Grosvenor Avenue where a homeowner reported that a man had broken into his garage and fled on foot. Patrol members and a canine unit were able to track the suspect to a Ford F150 truck parked outside a home in the 1500 block of Argyle Avenue. The suspect was hiding inside and attempted to flee from officers. He was taken into custody and suffered a minor injury consistent with a dog bite. He was found to be in possession of two backpacks containing numerous items, which are believed to be stolen. The garage at the Argyle Avenue address also appeared to have been broken into.
The 20 year old man is now facing charges including Break and Enter, Mischief, and 8 counts of Breach of Undertaking. He is expected to be seen today by a Justice of the Peace.
