Traffic restrictions have been lifted for the northbound lanes of Highway 11 at 71st Street following a two vehicle collision.
The collision occurred when a car traveling north on Highway 11 was struck by a pickup truck traveling westbound on 71st Street. Two people in the car, an adult man and an adult woman, were transported to hospital by MD Ambulance for treatment for non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured and was ticketed for proceeding before safe.
The Saskatoon Police Service would like to thank motorists for their patience. Drivers are reminded to adhere to traffic laws, avoid distractions and reduce speed, especially at this busy time of year.
Motorists are asked to avoid using the northbound lanes of Highway 11 at 71st Street at this hour as officers investigate a two vehicle collision.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m., December 18, 2017. Two vehicles collided, however it is not known the extent of injuries at this time.
