On December 26, 2017 the Saskatoon Police Service attended to a disturbance where a 16 year old damaged a unique Christmas toy for a young sibling. The family was unable to replace this toy which left the officers who attended feeling saddened.
A patrol Constable then attended several toy stores in an attempt to buy the exact same toy for this child. The manager of Mastermind Toys at Preston Crossing spoke with the officer and upon hearing the circumstances immediately offered to donate the toy along with several other gifts for the 11 year old, 5 year old, and 2 year old.
On behalf of the Saskatoon Police Service we thank Mastermind Toys for their generosity and demonstrating the true meaning of Christmas. We can tell you that your kindness has made this holiday special for this family.
